Easy to install, updated every three months and able to be networked around a small or large site, MIMS Desktop will suit all clinicians who need access to up-to-date, local, accurate medicines information.

MIMS Desktop is the fastest way to access MIMS Quick Reference, MIMS DrugAlert, as well as a range of therapeutic guidelines.

MIMS is New Zealand's most widely used medicines information resource. It supplies data on all commonly prescribed and over-the-counter products available in the country.

Together with quick reference medicines information MIMS contains DrugAlert - a reference-based interaction tool that allows users to search for interactions between two or more medicines. Interactions are flagged for severity and level of documentation. Interaction details are displayed along with recommended actions and references.

MIMS Desktop contains New Zealand medicines information, identifying products that are funded by government subsidy, as well as common OTC medicines. It provides sporting and pregnancy status, hospital formulary coding, therapeutic guidelines, and therapeutic class overviews.

MIMS Desktop is fully searchable by therapeutic class, generic or brand name. It also provides third party information such as government subsidy restrictions and consumer information datasheets. MIMS Desktop is updated three-monthly.

MIMS Desktop is widely used at general practice and community pharmacy level.
