BALTIMORE, June 3 2009 - For the fourth consecutive year, Physicians Practice has been recognized by the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE) for its innovative editorial content and design, and for the first time, its web publication, PhysicansPractice.com. The award recognition reflects the healthcare media company's commitment to excellence in helping physicians improve the effectiveness of their practices.

Physicians Practice captured three Gold Awards in the ASHPE 2009 Awards Competition, including:

1. Best Single Issue, July/August 2008, "Voting for Change"

2. Best "How-To" Article, "Conquering Time," February 2008, written by Pamela Moore, director of content and strategy for UBM Medica

3. Best Overall Graphics, January 2008, "Survival Kit," by Bill Ellis, art director of Physicians Practice

The January 2008 issue was also recognized with a Silver Award for Best Original Research, "Survival Kit," by Shirley Grace. An additional Silver Award was granted for Best Legislative/Government Article, "Uncle Sam's Exam," September 2008, also written by Shirley Grace.

Additionally, PhysiciansPractice.com, was granted a Bronze Award for Best Overall Web Publication. The site provides physicians and their staff with multi-media resources to help them better manage the business aspects of medicine more efficiently and effectively.
